Stanley Park is one of the City of Kitchener's planning communities. It has a City community centre with older adult programs, and a library one planning community over. The public record says less about its housing mix, so this page tells you what to ask.

Stanley Park at a glance
Stanley Park is in Ward 2 on the City's list of planning communities. The City's neighbourhood associations directory lists the Stanley Park Community Association, a volunteer-run group. It describes its area as bounded by Victoria Street North, the Grand River and other local landmarks, and says it reinvests program profits into community events, meal programs, the garden and the facility.

What to look for in housing in Stanley Park
This page does not describe the housing mix, because no City source it relies on does. Homes here may be freehold, condominium or rental. The type decides what you pay for and what rules apply. Ask each seller or agent to state it plainly.
For a freehold bungalow, ask about steps, the bathroom on the main floor and the age of the roof, furnace and electrical panel. For a condominium, ask for the status certificate, which the Condo Authority of Ontario says anyone may request for up to $100 including taxes. Our comparison of home types and the guide to buying a condo cover what to check.
Trinity Village Terrace, a life lease community, is elsewhere in Kitchener and has its own page: Trinity Village Terrace.
